Walking Cloths and Style
What to wear
- Wear cloths according to climatic conditions.
- Wear loose fitting and sweat absorbing cloths.
- Wear sports shoes with broad toe.
- Wear thick cotton socks, to absorb sweat.
Walking Sytle
- Walk errect bending or leaning while walking will lead to back pain.
- Look straight.
- Keep your shoulders straight but not stiff.
- Keep hands loose and unclenched.
- Swing your shoulders and hands freely (not rigidly) and vigorously to lend power and
impetus to your walking.
- Keep your legs, knees and ankles relaxed.
- Inhale slowly and deeply, filling your lungs and exhale in the same fashion. Get into a
relaxed rhythmic breathing style (3 steps while inhaling and 3 steps while exhaling).
- Walk, keeping your toes straight. When you land your foot, it should be the heel first
hitting the ground at 40% and then allow the entire foot pushing at the ground onto
toes.
