All about Brushing Teeth

Squeeze the tooth paste on the bristle head and start brushing. Take the brush in the right hand and insert in the mouth on the left side the paste mass facing the teeth. Now close the mouth to the extent of leaving a little opening between the upper and lower teeth. While Brushing Teeth Sweep the brush down from the gums towards the teeth in the case of the upper teeth. Several such stroke are made in one area before shifting the brush to the next.

In the case of adult, the process should include gently forcing the bristles in between the teeth, an action which does not cause any pain or harm. In children the gums and teeth contact, so it is neither necessary nor desirable. The lower teeth are brushed in the same way as uppers, but upwards. This sweep-stroke is used both of the outside and inside surfaces of all teeth. There are several methods of Brushing Teeth but the method I have given above is simple and adequate for the average person.

Brushing cleans the teeth on all their accessible surfaces including in-between teeth and also massages the gum as it is drawn from the gums towards the teeth. Thus we see that the tooth brush is a double-action device apparatus, cleaning the teeth and massaging the gums. The best method of brushing in where the gums are nicely massaged and all the food particles from Teeth are removed.

The method described above is suitable for persons with reasonably healthy gums. But for those with periodontal diseases, there are different methods depending on the particular case and your dentist or periodontal diseases, there are different methods depending on the particulars case and your dentist or periodontal is the best judge of the best method to use in the up keep of the oral cavity.

How often should we brush the teeth?

Dentists advise brushing after every meal. This, I find may be ideal, but unnecessary. After every meal we wash our mouth. In addition, we should rub al the teeth with the forefinger at the time. Brushing twice daily, i.e. morning and at night after dinner is adequate to maintain a reasonable degree of oral cleanliness.

Abuse or Brushing Hard

Brushing of the teeth can give rise to more enamel wear at the neck of tooth (near to the gingival margins). Whatever the enamel is lost the tooth become sensitive to thermal sensations like hot and cold food items. This generally happens to people who do not concentrate on what they are doing but they will be rubbing the teeth with brush or finger and doing something else like seeing T.V. or day dreaming.

When to Brush your teeth

The generally accepted pattern is when you get up in the morning you start it with Brushing Teeth and have your breakfast, but if you have brushed the teeth after diner that is the previous night, there are no food particles left in the mouth and your mouth is clean and fresh as there are no food particles present to decompose and give out foul odor. It is advisable simply to rinse your mouth and then have morning coffee and your breakfast and then you should brush the teeth and gums. So again, the mouth is clean and you carry a clean mouth throughout the day except for lunch, where the individual can rinse and clean the mouth and finally after dinner you practice the regular brushing and flossing of the teeth. This way you can keep the mouth completely clean from food particles. I am sure this will keep the Dentist away.
