Sedentary workers are more prone to obesity and hence can be easy victims to a host of chronic non communicable diseases like hypertension, cardio vascular diseases, diabetes and certain types of cancers. Taking regular exercise avoiding smoking, alcohol, drugs, unsafe sex etc, comprise some healthy lifestyles. Eat apples & pears but do not look like apples & pears, goes a saying. Physical exercise help in maintaining right body shape and prevent the on set obesity related health complications.

Several misconceptions exist regarding the foods we eat. Many people tend to believe that non-vegetarian foods are healthier than vegetarian diets consuming ghee, butter, nuts (almonds, cashew nuts etc) milk cream is good for health ; raw eggs and raw milk are health enhancing, cooking tomatoes and spinach is not good etc. such beliefs have no scientific basis.

Interplay of nature, determines one’s health status nature (hereditary factors is beyond our control. But nature (environmental factors) can be modified to our advantage. Every health conscious individual should strive to enrich these environmental factors to lead a better life.
